Elaine encouraged him not to drop it,helped to build up his confidence and he had an A*,and went on to study Economics at the University of Nottingham. My youngest daughter had Elaine for both GCSE and A-level maths. She had an A* for her GCSE and B for her AS. This for my daughter was a major milestone as she had absolutely zero expectations with maths!

“I can highly recommend Elaine as a maths tutor. My Son was struggling with maths A level and was predicted a D, at best a possible CA friend recommended Elaine and whilst she was very busy she went out of her way to accommodate my son.She used to contact him before his tutoring session to see what he had studied at school that week.
She would then prepare her lesson and go through everything. After every lesson with Elaine he would come out much more confident with each area of maths. Elaine was so patient, kind understanding and always made him feel confident and encouraged him so much in such a positive way. My son achieved and A* in his maths and his teacher said he actually got 98% in the exam. I first started having sessions with Elaine when I was doing my GCSEs and within the next two months had moved up a set in maths. Despite having a predicted grade of 5, I managed to achieve a grade of 7 in my GCSE maths and I personally believe this wouldn’t have been possible without Elaine’s help and motivation. I continued with Elaine’s help throughout A level and despite the increase in workload and difficulty that A level presents, I felt confident that with Elaine’s help, I would be able to achieve my desired results. At the end of year 13 I was overjoyed at the fact I had managed to get into my first choice of university to do Aviation. Elaine always went above and beyond when tutoring me and made each session feel new and refreshing, which dramatically helped me not only stay motivated, but also feel confident in my abilities to reach my goals. I could not recommend Elaine enough and I am very grateful for all her help throughout my school years.

My sons benefited immensely from one to one tuition with Elaine. Both struggled with their maths GCSE syllabus in the school classroom. Working through maths problems with Elaine made them understand mathematical concepts in a more easily digestible manner. Both my sons obtained two grades above their schools initial predictions. Mrs Saldanha is a fantastic tutor. Attending tutoring sessions with her really helped improve my understanding of mathematics and be able to apply this to my GCSE and A level examinations. “Before I met Elaine, I really lacked confidence in maths and felt worried about falling far behind in my revision for my upcoming GCSE exams. Elaine was so patient and encouraging in our lessons, she taught me the entire syllabus before I had finished in my class at school and not only did I grow in confidence in the subject but I also achieved an A in my GCSE maths and decided to even study it at A-Level, which is something I never thought I would do-but knowing I would be continuing the journey with Elaine put me at ease. Mrs Saldanha tutored me throughout my AS and A-Levels in both Maths and Further Maths. She helped me grasp difficult concepts in all the modules I took (core modules, mechanics, statistics & further maths), worked through complex examples with me and helped me gain the tools to solve these problems independently. I really enjoyed our lessons and always felt comfortable asking for help when I didn’t understand something.
